questions

-choose two stories reaveal the thinking of an older generatiom of singaporeans. What new insights have you gained from such a revelation?
stories - history of tea
- the move
In the stry of history of tea , it talk s bout an old generation who finds different races hateful and he/she was frighten of them . it is because he / she did not understand about the race and religions clearly , there were some of the information about racist which had influenced their thought . therefore , the conflict between races rise

The Move is about a grandmother being rather sulky when she was not allowed to bring alone her one and only pomegranate tree to a new house. Being in the older generation, most grandparents would sulk as though they are being left alone. In this case, it is rather normal for the grandmother to sulk when she was not allowed to bring along her pomegranate tree and doesnt want to move out of teh house. Not to forget she also sulks because her things are being thrown away. The evidence from the story is on page, 205, that says, "The old lady was vaguely irritated for the first time. It's always the plants that get left behind. Why?" This concludes that she is rather dissappointed with her children.

  2. 'This concludes that she is rather dissappointed with her children.' She isn't really disappointed with the child in the end. It's a complete resolution, because she moved on and let go of the past in the end.

  4. He could he more specific about who the old generation people are, and he should check his work before/after posting, dont use short form !
He could also include the younger generation people, Beverly and TianYee into his answer, to show the differences in the thinkings between the generation.
But overall, i think he did well, short and simple, but answer the question.
